Portuguese marble blocks quarry selection – June 2021
We continue here our series of blocks stock opportunities of a newly opened marble quarry in the Estremoz area in Portugal. This is a recycled quarry that was closed and is now becoming a serious player in the market, extracting unique and beautiful marble with a wide range of colors. Here, we present the most recent batch of blocks that have been extracted in June.
Portuguese dark grey marble block
Beautiful dark grey / nearly black marble block with dramatic white veins. It reminds of the Spanish Negro Marquina, but is a Portuguese marble. High polish potential!
Portuguese white marble block / Estremoz White selection
Fairly uniform and clean white marble block of the Estremoz marble type. We see some slight grey spider-web structure, but all in all, a very white background. Top selection!
Portuguese white marble block / Estremoz Calacatta selection
Front view of the type of blocks available of the Calacatta-type Estremoz White marble selection. Beautiful vein and pattern, this is quite an unique type of selection.
Portuguese white marble block / Estremoz Venato selection
Good block of Estremoz marble – Venato type, where we see the perpendicular vein of grey, dark grey and slight pink colors, well blended in the white background.
Portuguese pink marble block / Rosa Portugal Venato selection
Beautiful and unique pink marble Rosa Portugal, which shows a well-defined darker vein structure.
Portuguese dark grey marble block
Another dark grey marble block of Portuguese-type Ruivina marble. This block shows a dark grey background and slight perpendicular vein structure.
Portuguese grey marble block / Estremoz Calacatta Grey selection
Front view of the type of blocks available of the Calacatta-type Estremoz marble grey selection. On this block we see a beautiful blend of darker grey with blue colored areas, where the white is nicely mixed with the remaining color palette.
Portuguese white marble block / Estremoz marble selection
Another incredible white marble block from the Estremoz marble family. Here, we see large patches of white, combined with large areas of darker grey, showing an interesting pattern.
